If you are receiving the error message: “This .csv file is invalid for imports, check .csv headers” when importing data, this is usually due to the report column headers being incorrect or missing.
For each data file you are importing, the headers should appear in the following order:
Student Parent Report
Parents Evening: Tutor Report
Parents Evening: Class Teacher Report
If you are not entering specific set of details, for example: House Address details, you can leave the details blank but please keep the column headers in the spreadsheet.
If the Student ID, Contact ID, Staff ID, Tutor ID and Teacher ID columns are missing in the data report, this is due to the SIMS user running the report is missing Third Party Reporter permissions. Please ensure that the SIMS user has the three permissions set: Third Party Reporter, Personnel Officer and Admin Assistant. Read this article here on how to add missing permissions.
If you have run a manual report from Integris and are importing this straight into ParentMail, the formatting of this report is incorrect. You will need to follow this article here to send this data over to ParentMail, for us to correct format before this is uploaded into ParentMail.
Importing the Rejected Records Report
If you have attempted to imported the Rejected Records Report after correcting the rejections, please ensure you have removed the two extra columns at the end of the report called ‘Status’ and ‘Reason’. The column headers in the report will need to match the original PMX import template (see above for the column headers).
